FACT: Over 50 Million Americans including 19.1 % of adults and 16% of youths experienced mental illness in the US in 2018.

We have an epidemic of mental disorders and anxiety in our country and the rates are growing.

FACT: Psychedelics of all kinds (Mushrooms, Ayahuasca, 5 Meo DMT, Ibogaine), MDMA, Cannabis and Ketamine are showing promising results for illness such as: Depression, Anxiety, Opioid- Alcohol & Drug Addiction, Anorexia, PTSD, Fear around dying, Lyme Disease, and many other illnesses.

So much so that Johns Hopkins University Medical School just opened a $17 Million dollar research unit to deeply investigate the benefits of psychoactive medicines.

FACT: 1 in 7 Americans will face substance abuse addiction, according to the US Surgeon General. Including the Opioid Addiction Epidemic in this country, approximately 21 million Americans have Alcohol use Disorder or Drug addiction costing approximately $442 billion each year.

FACT: Medical Cannabis is not addictive and psychoactive plant medicines are either Non-Addictive or Anti-Addictive. Psychoactive experiences can often relieve people of addiction to drugs, alcohol, opioids and other substances, often in 1 session.

FACT: Approximately 60% of the US population has suffered significant emotional trauma and approximately 3.5 million Americans currently have PTSD.

FACT: The FDA has declared MDMA & Psilocybin Breakthrough Therapies, fast-tracking their research. MDMA has been shown more than double efficacy of PTSD therapy from 23% without MDMA to 56% with MDMA.

A year later, of those whose therapies used MDMA, 68% were relieved of PTSD to the point where they were no longer able to classify as having PTSD, whereas for those not using MDMA in therapy stayed constant at 23%.

FACT: Your Body has an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) already installed, which is how Cannabis is able to affect you at all. And according to researchers, the ECS is the PRIMARY homeostatic regulatory system in your body.

FACT: Approximately 33% of the US population suffers from Depression, anxiety, or Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

FACT: In the last 18 years, studies are showing positive results for a treatment using ketamine infusions in treatment-resistant mood disorders.

Ketamine is a completely legal FDA-approved anesthetic drug that is used daily in hospitals and emergency rooms across the country. Studies also show that ketamine treatments can induce new neuron growth in the brain.

FACT: Cannabis has been in documented medical use by humans for thousands of years such as in Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, and Ancient China, and many other parts of the world.

FACT: Research in lab animals, fMRI imaging in humans, and anecdotal reports from countless health practitioners and patients indicate that Medical Cannabis can be highly effective for patients with PTSD.

FACT: In conjunction with the University of Colorado & the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Sue Sisley formerly a researcher at the University of AZ Medical School, founder of the Scottsdale Research Institute is the Principal Investigator of a study to discuss the efficacy of Medical Cannabis for PTSD because of it’s promising indications.

FACT: Allopathic doctors such as Joe Tafur, MD, a physician in practice in Phoenix, have traveled to the Amazon and have seen hundreds of people find help with Ayahuasca and other natural psychedelics, for problems that Western medicine, was unable to heal.

FACT: Laws, changes in Decriminalization and societal norms and attitudes around have changed rapidly regarding psychedelics and medical cannabis in the past 5 years.

FACT: Public education has lagged these significant changes.

For all of these reasons and more, we feel it’s time for a conference to address these issues. It’s time to bring scientific research out into the light, to destigmatize plant medicines and highly promising alternative therapies, and make avenues accessible for people to heal.

It’s time to end the war on ‘drugs’ and replace it with knowledge on medicines.

In these medicines, we have in our hands the capability to deal with the roots of traumatic stress at a societal level. We have the ability to heal from a multitude of addictions and illnesses plaguing society. We have the potential to make ourselves happier and more fulfilled on a major scale.

Join us in changing the world.

ABOUT: The purpose of The AZ Plant Medicine Conference is to educate the public on the benefits, and options available in Plant Medicines including Medical Cannabis & its derivatives, as well as Psychedelic medicines. We’ll elucidate the latest research, and discuss how these medicines can help improve lives as well as the risks and contraindications.

The event will educate the general public on the clinical use of these medicines as well as share the latest developments in research & use in clinical settings.

This event will be an overview & education on how people using these medicines can avoid or replace pharmaceuticals, alleviate pain or suffering where other methods have failed & ultimately get well physically, mentally, & spiritually. We’ll also discuss potential risks & contraindications.

While there are multitudes of people using medical cannabis & it’s derivatives, psychedelic medicines & ketamine to beneficial results, most of the population still attaches a negative stigma to these medicines and can views these medicines with suspicion.

We seek to debunk myths & educate open minded people on each of these medicines and offer resources to learn more about them.

We look forward to seeing you there!
